Day Five

Updated: May 31, 2019

Woke up super early to head to Florencia - Florence. The bus drive was about 6 hours but Natalia our bus driver stopped twice to break up the drive. It was the most beautiful scenic drive I've taken. We drove through Liguria and close to the coast.

Once we arrived in Florencia we quickly started on foot for a 2 hour guide. We started with a tour of a famous leather shop in the city, Leonardo's.

We then proceeded to explore the city and unfortunately with all the people in the city it was hard to pay attention when trying to follow and find a tour guide that blended in with the crowd. I did get some very nice shots of the cities architecture, sculptures, and statues.

We were able to not only see the Duomo but also get to hear the church bells go off for 6pm mass. It sounded so beautiful and made the moment even more rememberable.

After the tour we walked to enjoy a delicious florentine dinner. This was another 3 course meal that included pasta in a pork sauce, pork and pancetta peas, and a cafe panna cotta dusted with cocoa powder.

Every dinner is finish with cafe - espresso. Also, what I have come to realize is that essentially all the courses together are our normal plates for dinner but split into separate courses so that you can fully enjoy each one without mixing and combining the unique flavors. I actually like that very much and will think about that when serving my food now. Til tomorrow

Stay blessed!!
