Day Eight

We started the morning with a tour of the city of Bologna. The highlights of where he took us to see were the Basilica di San Petronio and the University of Bologna, the oldest University in the western world. The church was amazing on the inside. You wouldn't be able to tell how much architecture and design was on the inside by looking at the building from the outside.

I didn't pay to have access to take pictures while inside but maybe soon I can add some from a friend who did. They have the really expressive and to some horrifying picture of heaven and hell. You can Google the church to see what I am talking about.

The University was one like I've never seen before. I feel like everyone would absolutely love studying if they had the opportunity to study in classrooms as the ones pictured. The building had such beauty in each brushstroke that was put into it.

Last but not least of the Bologna fun was the pasta demonstration. It amazes me how quickly the lady demonstrating made each type of pasta.

She showed us tortellini, flat noodles, bow ties, ravioli, and others.

Now, I am going to study the long 15minute video I have to try and perfect my technique. I even was able to attempt to make a tortellini and did fairly well.

The best of it all was getting to eat the freshly made pasta four different ways for dinner. It was a flat noodle, bowtie, lasagna and ravioli.

So AMAZING!!!! By far my favorite meal. I will never forget this experience tonight. Bologna treated us very well.

Stay blessed!
